I'm Gihani. I like data. And sand volleyball. And photography.

As a Sri Lankan-American, I'm proud to have dual citizenship. I went to college at UNC - Chapel Hill, where I studied Economics and Global Studies. After graduating, I moved to Austin and worked for two years at Oracle before starting graduate school in July 2017. After completing my Masters of Science in Business Analytics at UT's McCombs School of Business, I have been working as a statistical analyst/data scientist at Charles Schwab. I enjoy problem solving with data, learning new tools, technologies and methodologies, and enabling data driven decision making.

I recently reactivated this website as I want to continue developing my data science skillset outside of my day job. Everything on here represents my own personal views, and not those of my company.
